Laura and callum
There’s something truly magical about autumn weddings in Norfolk, and Laura and Callum’s day at Pentney Abbey was no exception. From their intimate ceremony to the laughter-filled reception, every moment was a joy to capture. Having photographed their engagement shoot earlier in the year, it was so special to witness their wedding journey come full circle.
Getting ready at pentney abbey
The day started with each of them preparing in separate rooms at the beautiful Congham Hall Hotel in King’s Lynn. Rob spent the morning with his best man, his father, his brother-in-law, and his stepfather, enjoying some pre-wedding camaraderie. Eleanor, meanwhile, had her mum, sister, and soon-to-be sister-in-law by her side. Hair styling was beautifully done by Claire Calton, with Michelle Bennett providing makeup for the bridal party, adding the final touches to everyone’s look.
WHY PENTNEY ABBEY?
Laura and Callum didn’t need to look far when choosing their venue – Pentney Abbey stole their hearts instantly. The stunning medieval architecture, steeped in history, made it the perfect backdrop for their big day. Nestled in the heart of Norfolk, it’s a dream setting for couples seeking both romance and characte
The ceremony was truly the heart of their day. Set within Pentney Abbey’s beautiful grounds, it was accompanied by the melodic tones of Kavolini String Quartet, which created a serene and emotional atmosphere. Watching Laura and Callum exchange vows as their family and friends looked on was a reminder of why I love capturing weddings in Norfolk – the genuine love and joy are unforgettable.
DOGS, DRINKS AND CANAPÉS
After the ceremony, it was time for canapés, drinks, and some very special guests – Laura and Callum’s three dogs, brought in by Oh Bella Dogs. These furry family members added a unique touch to the day, and their photos with the happy couple are sure to be treasured forever.
The reception décor, styled by Epic Events, was simply breathtaking. Every detail reflected Laura and Callum’s fun and eccentric personalities, creating a space that was both elegant and welcoming.
A memorable reception
Guests gathered for the wedding breakfast at around 4 pm, enjoying a feast in Pentney Abbey’s charming setting. Between heartfelt speeches and plenty of laughter, it was a true celebration of love and togetherness.
Later, as the sun dipped below the horizon, the party got into full swing. The lively atmosphere carried through the evening, with family and friends coming together to celebrate Laura and Callum in style.
Laura and Callum’s wedding is a perfect example of how magical autumn weddings can be. The crisp air, golden leaves, and warm tones of the season create an enchanting backdrop for any couple’s big day.
