Happy New Year and congratulations
As we step into 2025, I want to start by wishing you all a happy and prosperous new year. If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you’ve recently gotten engaged over the festive period – congratulations! Planning your wedding is an exciting journey, and I’m thrilled to share a little inspiration to kickstart your ideas.
For my first blog of the year, I’m diving into the stunning highlights from Jessica and Oliver’s summer wedding at the breath-taking Hockwold Hall. Set against the backdrop of Norfolk’s tranquil countryside, this celebration was a perfect blend of love, laughter, and beauty. Let’s get straight into the magic!
Morning preparations at Hockwold Hall
Jessica’s morning started in Hockwold Hall’s Bridal Prep Studio, a cosy and elegant space within the 16th-century Tudor estate. With its Grade II listed status and rich royal history, the venue provided the perfect atmosphere to begin the day. Accompanied by her five bridesmaids, Jessica spent the morning getting ready, sharing laughter and excitement as Daniella from Pamp-Her worked her magic with hair and makeup.
Meanwhile, Oliver was in another room within the main house, surrounded by close friends as he prepared for the day ahead. Many of their guests had stayed nearby the night before, adding a relaxed and intimate feel to the morning. By 12:30 pm, more guests started arriving, filling the grounds with warmth and anticipation.
A beautiful outdoor ceremony
Jessica and Oliver exchanged their vows outdoors in Hockwold Hall’s picturesque gardens. The ceremony was truly personal, with heartfelt readings by both of their mothers. The lush greenery and serene surroundings provided a dreamy setting, perfectly in tune with Jessica’s love for nature and animals. A special highlight was the petting zoo – an unexpected delight that brought smiles to guests of all ages.
Jessica wore a stunning gown by Viva Bride, which sparkled beautifully under the summer sun. Oliver looked sharp in his classic suit from Slaters. The atmosphere was light-hearted, reflecting their fun-loving personalities.
Drinks, CANAPÉS and reception festivities
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed drinks and delicious canapés on the lawn. Jessica and Oliver had emphasised how important good food was to their day, and the canapés did not disappoint. As the sun began to set, the celebrations continued for their wedding breakfast, elegantly decorated by My Fleur. Soft florals and romantic lighting created a magical ambience, setting the stage for the evening ahead.
The reception kicked off with a DJ set from KSD, filling the dance floor with energy. Guests had fun at the photobooth, capturing memories throughout the evening. For dinner, everyone indulged in stone-cooked pizzas – a quirky and delicious touch that reflected Jessica and Oliver’s laid-back and fun vibe.
A SWEET ENDING
As the clock struck 7 pm, Jessica and Oliver took to the floor for their first dance to “Take on the World” by You Me at Six. This was followed by their second song, “Sun” by Two Door Cinema Club, as guests joined in. The dance floor remained lively throughout the evening, fuelled by love, laughter, and great music.
No wedding is complete without cake, and Jessica and Oliver’s creation by Amazing Cakes by Jean was a showstopper. Guests couldn’t get enough of the beautifully crafted and equally delicious dessert.
Jessica and Oliver’s wedding at Hockwold Hall was a testament to their love for each other, filled with thoughtful touches and personal details. From the scenic outdoor ceremony to the vibrant dance floor, every moment was crafted to reflect who they are as a couple – fun, light-hearted, and full of joy.
