Gonville Hotel Wedding Photographer
There’s something truly magical about a summer wedding in Cambridge. The long, golden days, the vibrant greenery, and the relaxed atmosphere make it the perfect time of year to celebrate love. I had the pleasure of capturing Beth and Matt’s wedding at the stunning Gonville Hotel, right in the heart of Cambridge. Their day was a fantastic mix of elegance, fun, and meaningful moments—all set against the backdrop of this beautiful boutique hotel.

Beth and Matt both stayed at the Gonville Hotel the night before their wedding, adding to the relaxed and intimate feel of the day. On the morning of the wedding, they got ready separately in the hotel’s stylish rooms before making their way to the ceremony.
Beth looked stunning in her wedding dress as she stepped into a classic Bentley, provided by the hotel, for her journey to the Cambridge Registry Office. Meanwhile, Matt traveled with his family, excitedly anticipating the moment he would see his bride.

Cambridge REGISTry office ceremony
With just 24 of their closest family and friends, Beth and Matt exchanged their vows at the Cambridge Registry Office. The intimate setting made for an emotional and personal ceremony, full of love and togetherness. The small guest list allowed for plenty of natural, candid moments—ideal for capturing the true essence of the day.

A summer garden reception at gonville hotel
After the ceremony, everyone made their way back to the Gonville Hotel for the drinks reception in the hotel’s beautiful gardens. With the sun shining down, guests enjoyed canapés and cocktails while a live singer set a wonderful atmosphere. It was a dream setting for summer wedding photography—natural light, relaxed guests, and a stunning location.
I took this opportunity to capture candid moments of laughter, conversations, and happy reunions. The gardens provided a picturesque backdrop for couple portraits and group shots, making the most of the lush greenery and elegant surroundings.

Before the wedding breakfast, the speeches took place indoors, where heartfelt words and plenty of laughter filled the room. As the singer returned for another performance, guests settled in for an afternoon of delicious food and great company.
Beth and Matt had planned every detail of their day to ensure it was fun and enjoyable for everyone. Their focus was on celebrating with their loved ones, and that energy was felt throughout the day.
