Holly & Dan
Some weddings are just full of personality, and Holly & Dan’s day at Pentney Abbey was exactly that—fun, relaxed, and packed with personal touches that made it completely their own. From a sip & solve crossword for guests to a nod to their favourite TV show (Ted Lasso, of course), every little detail reflected them as a couple. And let’s not forget the wood-fired pizza and bunny-themed wedding cake – absolute winners in my book!

Getting ready at pentney abbey
The morning started with Holly and her bridal party getting ready in Pentney Abbey’s beautiful bridal suite—a perfect space with loads of natural light (which I love as a photographer!). Meanwhile, Dan got ready at Norfolk Woods Resort, just down the road, before heading to the venue for 1pm.

Norfolk ceremony & meaningful moments
Pentney Abbey was always Holly & Dan’s dream venue, and you can see why – it’s absolutely stunning! Their ceremony was filled with thoughtful details, including subtle Ted Lasso references and the cutest bunny cake toppers in honour of their beloved pets, Dotty & Albie.
As a Norfolk wedding photographer, I’m always on the lookout for unique details that tell a couple’s story, and these little touches made their day extra special.

The reception: sip, solve & celebrate
After the “I do’s,” guests enjoyed drinks and got stuck into a sip & solve crossword challenge, with answers revealed later in a custom wedding newspaper designed by Holly herself (talented bride alert!).
Speeches took place in between courses during the wedding breakfast, keeping the energy flowing before everyone hit the dance floor later on.

Pizza, dancing & a sparkler send-off
As the evening kicked off, Epic Events got the party started with their DJ and lighting setup. A photobooth from Story Photobooths added even more fun, while guests kept cosy under blankets (winter weddings done right!).
And then came the real highlight—wood-fired pizza at 9pm. Because let’s be honest, what’s better than a slice of pizza after dancing your heart out?
Their first dance to “Toothpaste Kisses” by The Maccabees was a perfect moment before everyone joined in for an evening of non-stop fun. And, to top it all off, a sparkler send-off made for some magical final shots!
Pentney Abbey is a dream venue, and if you’re planning your Norfolk wedding, I’d love to be part of your day. Whether you’re planning a pizza-fuelled party or something totally unique, let’s capture every incredible moment.
