Dragon Hall Norwich Wedding Photographer – Sam and John
As a documentary-style wedding photographer, capturing natural and authentic moments is what I do best, and Sam and John’s wedding at Dragon Hall in Norwich was no exception. With stunning beams, historic architecture, and the warmth of family love all around, this day was truly one to remember. Let me take you through some highlights of this beautiful Norfolk wedding!
A historic wedding venue
Dragon Hall is a gem in the heart of Norwich. Dating back to the 15th century, this medieval trading hall is known for its spectacular beams and unique architectural features. Sam and John chose this venue for its perfect blend of old and new, and it set the stage for a magical day. The hall’s charm provided an incredible backdrop, and despite the rain, the beauty of the venue shone through.
A family affair
Sam and John’s wedding was not just about two people coming together—it was about their whole family. Their three kids were right by their side, thrilled to watch their parents say “I do.” You could feel the love in the room, and it made the day even more special.
The ceremony was emotional, with Sam walking down the aisle carrying vibrant blooms. There were a few tears, but plenty of smiles to go around.
A stroll through norwich
One of the things I love about shooting weddings in Norwich is the chance to explore the city for portraits. After the ceremony, we headed down to the riverside and then onto the streets for some quirky and natural shots. I love those candid walking shots—the ones that really show the couple in their element. Sam and John were so at ease, and the photos reflect that perfectly.
celebrations and speeches
Next up were the speeches and the wedding breakfast. Sam and John were keen on keeping the vibe of their day relaxed and informal, and this was echoed in their heartfelt words. The best person and father of the bride also delivered some cracking speeches that had everyone both laughing and tearing up.
As the day turned into evening, the celebrations continued with outdoor and indoor games in the crypt—talk about a cool setting for some fun! Sam and John’s focus was all about ensuring everyone had a great time, and that’s exactly what happened. The DJ had everyone up and dancing, rounding off the day perfectly.
A laid-back Celebration
Sam and John described themselves as loving, and that’s exactly what I saw throughout the day. They wanted their wedding to feel like a big party, full of laughter and good times, and they nailed it. It was a pleasure to capture their love story at such a special venue in Norwich.
