WELLINGTON WOOD, NORFOLK WEDDING VENUE
Relaxed Rustic Wedding at Wellington Wood Norfolk
This was a rustic, relaxed wedding day with delightful pops of colour. The beautiful autumnal wedding day of Laura and Richard was a wonderful family affair that started with a beautiful traditional church ceremony before moving onto the stunning sustainable venue Wellington Wood, nestled in the Norfolk countryside.
From start to finish it was a laid-back affair full of family, friends and of course romance. Wellington Wood, an outdoor wedding venue, prides itself on sustainable, relaxed weddings where you are surrounded by nature. With over 70 acres of private wildflower meadows, I loved how Laura and Richard added pops of bright colours into their day to bring contrast to all the nature.
With a rustic undertone, this couple brought fun with their colour scheme. Bright blue and yellow were used throughout the outfits and décor. The bridesmaids wore a mixture of these colours, and the groomsmen had matching tartan ties. Laura wore a modern vintage lace gown adorned with a stunning wildflower bouquet complete with bright yellow sunflowers.
The entrance to the Wellington Wood tipi was also adorned with giant pots of sunflowers. With a trestle table seating layout and eco crockery and cutlery, it paved the way for the relaxed and fun party that was ahead. Laura and Richard decided to not have a traditional wedding breakfast and opted for modern street food by Squilla and Squidge which offers event catering from their VW Campervan.
In the evening they kept it simple too with Boxed Pizza. It was the perfect vibe for Wellington Wood and let’s face it, who doesn’t love street food and pizza? The party that followed was truly epic especially as it featured a multitude of guests performing throughout.
The love and romance shone through the whole of this beautiful couple’s wedding day, but especially when we wandered off into the surrounding woodland. These beautifully intimate shots between the two of them showed just how beautiful their relationship is, and just how beautiful their marriage is going to be!
Fun Fact About Laura and Richard – Shakira’s Waka Waka is the tune that’s most likely to get them up on the dancefloor!
It was so great to work with this lovely couple creating their beautiful wedding photography, just the way they wanted it. Laid back and full of fun. And of course, to be at the beautiful Wellington Wood. As a fellow Norfolk business, it’s always great to work with local suppliers, especially when they have sustainability at the core.
