Pheasant Hotel Wedding Photographer Norfolk
Patricia and Allan
As a Norfolk wedding photographer, I have the privilege of capturing so many beautiful love stories, and Patricia & Allan’s wedding was one that truly stood out. Their intimate celebration at The Pheasant Hotel in North Norfolk was filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of close family and friends. It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of their special day and document their memories in such a stunning location.

Getting ready
Patricia spent the morning getting ready at the hotel, a gorgeous countryside retreat that provided the perfect setting for those relaxed pre-ceremony moments. With Hair by Donna from Hair Designs, Coltishall working her magic and makeup by Alice Roberts, Trish looked absolutely radiant. Meanwhile, Allan arrived at midday with his family, ready for the big moment ahead.

A Heartfelt Ceremony
At 1:00 PM, the couple exchanged vows in The Orangery at The Pheasant Hotel, a bright and elegant space filled with natural light. The ceremony was an intimate affair, with just their closest family and friends gathered to witness their love. One of the most touching things about Patricia & Allan’s story is how they found each other later in life and feel so lucky to have done so. Their deep connection was clear to see, and capturing those raw, emotional moments was an absolute joy.

A relaxed reception
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed drinks and canapés in the bar area and on the terrace, taking in the beautiful gardens and countryside views. The Orangery was then transformed into a cosy reception space, with just 21 guests seated in a square arrangement, making for a wonderfully intimate wedding breakfast.
There was no formal entertainment, just good company, great conversation, and a relaxed atmosphere with background music. It was the perfect setting for a small but meaningful celebration.
Flowers by Myrtle and Thyme, Holt added a gorgeous natural touch to the space, bringing in elements of the Norfolk landscape that the couple love so much.
As the evening rolled in, the celebration remained relaxed and informal, just as the couple had envisioned. Drinks flowed, laughter filled the air, and guests enjoyed a hot buffet featuring a pork pie and cheese tower – a unique and delicious touch! Instead of a big party or band, the evening was about enjoying quality time together with good food, background music, and great company.

A love for Norfolk and the outdoors
When I asked Patricia & Allan why they chose The Pheasant Hotel, their love for Norfolk was evident. Having moved here in 2021, they’ve fallen in love with the North Norfolk coast, the Broads, and the incredible wildlife. They wanted their wedding to reflect that, and I was thrilled to capture moments that showcased their love for the area.
One of the more fun requests was a shot of Patricia with her niece and nephew, especially since her nephew was staying in one of the Shepherd’s Huts. And since both Patricia & Allan are keen cyclists, we even managed to incorporate bikes from the hotel into their portraits—a perfect reflection of their shared passion!
If you’re looking for a Norfolk wedding photographer to capture your love story, I’d love to hear from you. Whether you’re planning an intimate gathering like Patricia & Allan’s or a grand celebration, I’m here to document those once-in-a-lifetime moments. Get in touch today!
