NEIL SENIOR – Award Winning Norfolk wedding photographer
Norfolk Mead Wedding Photographer
There’s something truly magical about Norfolk weddings, and Jenny and Adam’s celebration at The Norfolk Mead Hotel was no exception. From the moment I arrived, I could tell this day was going to be something special – a perfect mix of heartfelt moments, meaningful touches, and so much fun.
The Morning PREPARATIONS
Jenny and Adam both got ready at the stunning hotel, which made the morning flow seamlessly. Adam prepared in the Mulberry Suite in the main hotel with his groomsmen, while Jenny, her bridesmaids, and flower girl Layla had their own serene setup in Sweet Chestnut Cottage.
I love capturing the excitement of these pre-wedding moments. The laughter, the finishing touches, and the little emotional exchanges that set the tone for the day. Jenny and her bridesmaids looked incredible, thanks to Gemma Holiday Hair and Makeup Artistry, while Adam and his groomsmen looked sharp in their suits from Slater Menswear.
A ceremony full of heart
The ceremony took place in the gorgeous garden room at The Norfolk Mead, with its light-filled space and intimate feel. Jenny and Adam’s choice to write their own vows added a deeply personal touch. It’s always special to photograph moments where every word spoken carries so much love and meaning.
They also included poems that held sentimental value to them, which brought a tear or two to their guests’ eyes (maybe even mine!).
A Drinks Reception to Remember
After the ceremony, guests were treated to an elegant drinks reception in the hotel’s beautiful grounds. Edd Crafer, the magician, kept everyone entertained with his mind-blowing tricks, while canapés and drinks flowed freely.
Jenny and Adam also added unique personal touches to their day, such as a guest book made up of engagement shoot photos printed onto playing cards – a nod to their shared love of card games. Their favours, Alzheimer’s Society pin badges, honoured a charity close to their hearts.
A STUNNING WEDDING BREAKFAST
The wedding breakfast was a true feast, reflecting the couple’s passion for amazing food. The team at The Norfolk Mead excelled, as always, and the dining space styled by Epic Events Norfolk looked stunning with floral arrangements by Heart of Heidi.
AN EVENING OF FUN AND SURPRISES
As the evening unfolded, it was clear Jenny and Adam wanted their guests to have an unforgettable time. The custom wedding cake, lovingly made by Jenny’s mum, took pride of place.
One of the highlights? Jenny and Adam’s secret first dance! They had been taking lessons leading up to the wedding, and their performance to “Kiss Me” by Sixpence None the Riches, sung by bridesmaid Cara Knox—left everyone amazed.
To add even more fun, Owen Mathers, a local artist, was there creating portraits of the guests – a fantastic and unique touch!
MAGICAL MOMENTS BY THE LAKE
As the evening settled into its groove, we slipped away for some portraits by the lake. These quiet moments amidst the bustling day always produce some of my favourite images. Norfolk Mead’s grounds are such a dream location for photography.
WHY I LOVE NORFOLK WEDDINGS
Jenny and Adam’s day was everything a Norfolk wedding should be – beautiful, relaxed, and filled with love. It’s an honour to be part of such meaningful celebrations and capture memories that couples can treasure forever.
