NEIL SENIOR – Norfolk wedding photographer
Award Winning Brandon Wedding Photographer in Norfolk
Naomi & Mitchell’s Day at Little Lodge Farm, Brandon
If you know me, you’ll know I’m happiest with mud on my boots, trees overhead, and a camera in my hand. So when a couple tells me they’re planning a Viking-inspired, autumnal wedding in the middle of Norfolk woodland? Well… I’m basically already packing the car before they finish the sentence.
Naomi and Mitchell’s upcoming wedding at Little Lodge Farm, Santon Downham is shaping up to be one of my absolute favourites – and not just because it involves traditional Viking attire, dried florals and (wait for it) homemade mead. These two are earthy, sustainable and unapologetically themselves. My kind of people.

A Sustainable Love Story (with a Viking Twist)
If I had to describe them in one word? Easy: Sustainable.
Not in that “we recycle when we remember” way – I mean properly, thoughtfully sustainable.
Their whole Viking-meets-medieval theme is rooted in ethics, nature and heritage. Naomi is walking down the aisle with wheat and hops appliqués sewn onto her outfit (yes, hops – Norfolk brewery vibes, but make it romantic). Meanwhile, Mitchell is going full traditional Viking, complete with a silhouette that contrasts Naomi’s softer, curvier style. Black and white. Yin and yang. Earth and fire. Aesthetics AND meaning – chef’s kiss.
And the florals? All dried by the brilliant team at Doesn’t Cost The Earth, chosen so they can be reused long after the last tankard of mead is emptied.

WHY NORFOLK? WHY THE WOODS?
They got engaged in Thetford Forest, so choosing a wedding venue nestled on the Norfolk/Suffolk border was a no-brainer.
Little Lodge Farm is surrounded by ancient woodland – the kind that makes you take a deep breath the second you step out the car. Naomi loves nature; Mitchell loves anything that makes Naomi happy… which is honestly the most wholesome thing I’ve ever heard as a wedding photographer.
And as someone who bangs on about how Norfolk is the wedding destination for relaxed, outdoorsy celebrations, I can confirm: this one hits the jackpot.
Huge shoutout to the venue: Forest Lodge Weddings for being the ideal backdrop to their earthy aesthetic.

Music, Mead & Medieval Merriment
After the ceremony, guests will tuck into welcome drinks (supplied by the legends at Wonky Donkey Bar) while we sneak off for some relaxed portraits among the trees. They’ve got a live medieval band for the ceremony – and honestly, I’m already imagining the soundtrack to the gallery.
Speeches will be toasted with homemade mead brewed by Naomi’s brother-in-law. As a Northern lad, I can appreciate a drink with heritage… and the potential to knock your socks off if brewed enthusiastically.
Evening vibes? A playlist of all their favourite pop hits curated by the couple themselves. A proper mix of medieval magic and modern memories.

Final Thoughts from Behind the Lens
This wedding combines everything I adore: Norfolk landscapes, sustainable choices, ancient-heritage vibes, and two people celebrating their love in a way that feels completely “them.”
I can’t wait to capture every axe-worthy angle (don’t worry, that’s a compliment in Viking terms).
