INTIMATE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
An Intimate Wedding at The Swan at Lavenham
An intimate wedding day with all the details; Richard and Lucy hosted their small but oh-so-beautiful wedding day at The Swan at Lavenham. With a sparkly dress and some bold and bright colour pop florals, it was a stunning summer wedding in this luxurious yet relaxed setting.
With a venue that housed all their 31 guests, it was a day to remember for this wonderful couple. After checking in to this luxury venue the night before all the guests were refreshed, rejuvenated and ready to celebrate Richard and Lucy say “I do”.
The Swan at Lavenham offers a quintessential luxury home-from-home in Suffolk. This historic 15th century venue offers a wonderful location for an intimate wedding. With private and cosy dining rooms you can feast on their classic British menu that celebrates a fine dining approach, perfect for your wedding day. Their beautiful boutique spa offers extra indulgence for your stay too and in this countryside setting it’s a lovely treat for you and your staying guests!
For their intimate celebrations, Richard and Lucy chose to have a smaller coverage for their wedding day so I joined them from the ceremony through to their wedding breakfast. With few formal group shots and a small number of guests, it was all about the couple and capturing their love for one another.
After their beautiful but fun ceremony, I whisked them off to the streets of this beautiful medieval wool town (how could I not!). With it’s historic and architectural backdrops it was the perfect setting for some great shots. A town or city wedding can create just as unique and fabulous shots as a luxe country house; it’s about finding a photographer that can work the location and capture the essence of your day with style, beauty and emotion.
Lucy’s relaxed but striking tea-length dress sparkled in the sunlight, and it was the perfect look for this relaxed and intimate wedding day. Richard wore a classic blue suit and pastel tie. Their looks were brought together by their beautiful florals, the simple ivory bouquet and buttonhole. The rest of the florals weren’t holding back, however, and they added a bold pop of stunning colour to the medieval setting. They brought the summer inside and sat proudly on beautifully styled tables where the couple and their guests sat down to feast on a seasonal wedding breakfast.
Whether you are having a large soiree or a small gathering for your wedding day it’s about planning the day you want. Lucy and Richard did just that, and it was both beautiful and perfect for the two of them.
