Rustic Elegance: A Ceremony at Godwick Great Barn
The day kicked off with excitement in the air. Vicky, adorned in her breathtaking Grace Loves Lace Bella gown, prepared at home surrounded by her closest friends. Meanwhile, Jimmy and his groomsmen got ready at his parents’ home in Holt. By half-past noon, guests began to arrive at Godwick Barn, eagerly anticipating the 1 PM ceremony start.
Celebration Under the Sun: Post-Ceremony Delights
Following their vows, the newlyweds joined their guests for a sun-kissed drinks reception. Thankfully, the weather played nice, allowing everyone to enjoy the lush Norfolk countryside. The outdoor setup included a lively kids’ corner and elegant decor, perfect for capturing those candid moments of laughter and relaxed enjoyment.

As the afternoon faded into a beautifully lit evening, guests came together for emotive speeches before diving into a delicious hog roast complemented by salads and desserts from Lee Lee’s ice cream van. The arrival of evening guests marked the start of the band’s performance, filling the barn with lively tunes and leading up to a glittering sparkler-lit cake cutting.
Dancing the Night Away: Music, Glitter, and Fire Pits
Post-cake, the venue transformed into a vibrant festival scene. With The Walks band setting the stage, followed by a DJ set from Epic Event Hire, the dance floor was never empty. A glitter bar from Face n’ Glitz added some sparkle to the festivities, while the fire pits outside invited guests to enjoy a more serene setting under the stars.
A Personal Touch: Football, Glitter, and Songs with Meaning
Vicky and Jimmy infused their personalities into every detail of the day. From football shirts for guests to sign to a bespoke glitter bar, each element reflected their unique stories and shared passions. Even the playlist was carefully curated to include songs significant to their journey together, ensuring the day was as heartfelt as it was memorable.
