NEIL SENIOR – Cambridgeshire wedding photographer
Cambridgeshire Countryside Wedding Photographer
As a documentary wedding photographer, I’m always drawn to weddings that feel personal, full of soul, and set in nature. There’s something about the wild beauty of the countryside – birdsong, big skies, and old trees – that makes a wedding feel just right. Cambridgeshire is packed with gorgeous spots, but there are a few venues I return to time and time again that just tick every box.
If you’re planning a Cambridgeshire wedding and want a countryside backdrop with charm and character, these are three of my absolute favourites.
SPINNEY ABBEY FARM
Spinney Abbey Farm is one of those venues that makes you breathe a little deeper the moment you arrive. Tucked away in the heart of the Cambridgeshire countryside, it’s peaceful, relaxed, and seriously beautiful.
There’s a working farm vibe with wild meadows and rustic barns – basically, it’s a documentary photographer’s dream. The light always seems to hit just right, especially in golden hour when the sun dips behind the treeline. If you’re after a relaxed wedding in a proper countryside setting, this place is spot on.
I’ve had the joy of photographing weddings here, and they always feel so chilled and full of love. Want to see more? Have a look at my previous blog post all about this magical spot:

SOUTH FARM
South Farm is one of Cambridgeshire’s most iconic countryside wedding venues, and with good reason. Think pretty gardens, colourful buildings, and an eco-conscious ethos. Oh, and did I mention the adorable farm animals?
What I really love about shooting weddings at South Farm is the variety. You’ve got orchards, wildflower meadows, quirky caravans, and the elegant farmhouse itself – all within a few steps. It’s the kind of venue that gives you endless options for fantastic, natural photos without ever feeling staged.
South Farm weddings are always full of life – relaxed, happy, and bursting with charm. If you want a setting that feels like a storybook with a twist, this is your place.

SHEENE MILL
Sheene Mill is pure riverside romance. With weeping willows, pretty bridges, and a beautiful old mill building, it’s like stepping into a countryside fairytale.
This venue is a gem, and I love how every corner of the property feels intimate and peaceful. Whether it’s an outdoor ceremony by the river or dancing inside the mill, the vibe here is always classy but relaxed. Natural light floods through the trees and windows, making it a dream to photograph.
Weddings at Sheene Mill always feel warm and personal – a little slice of calm with a whole lot of heart. Check out a recent one here:
